Ste­fan Man­gold is the founder and Gen­eral Man­ager of Lovefield Wire­less. His work cov­ers many as­pects of wire­less com­mu­ni­ca­tion, with fo­cus on pro­to­cols and sys­tem as­pects for wire­less LAN, vis­i­ble light com­mu­ni­ca­tion, and the In­ter­net-of-Things. Ste­fan Man­gold has been with Walt Dis­ney Re­search un­til 2016, where he worked on con­nected toys, theme parks, and mo­bile net­works. Be­fore Dis­ney, Ste­fan worked at Swiss­com in Switzer­land and be­fore that, at Philips North Amer­ica, USA. Ste­fan re­ceived his Dr.-Ing. / PhD. de­gree in elec­tri­cal en­gi­neer­ing / telecom­mu­ni­ca­tions from RWTH Aachen Univer­sity in Ger­many. Since 2007, he teaches a class on Wire­less Net­work­ing and Mo­bile Com­put­ing in the Com­puter Science Depart­ment of ETH Zurich, Switzer­land.
